Why the need for a school like E-TECHS?
The globalization of today’s economy is inescapable. Our nation’s leaders and preeminent educators are warning that unless schools dramatically improve, our country’s economic security and national security are at risk.

E-TECHS is committed to producing high school graduates that have the skills they need to be successful in college and the workforce. National statistics have shown that approximately 90 percent of the fastest-growing jobs will require postsecondary education, yet fewer than half of American students graduate from high school ready for college level math and science. Even worse, every year about one million students drop out of high school.
Today’s employers need employees who are creative problem-solvers with strong math and science backgrounds. E-TECHS is dedicated to providing Nevada’s students with the academic foundation they need to succeed in a highly technological, math and science oriented, global economy.
We believe that given the same expectation and resources, all students can perform at high levels. Each student that attends E-TECHS has the potential to succeed if they have a strong academic foundation and, most importantly, they are dedicated to their education. E-TECHS is adopting programs and practices that will help all students achieve their true potential. Our vision is to provide academically and culturally diverse students with new opportunities to become the next generation of scientists, engineers, and other skilled professionals.
